Coaches Message –

This morning the sailfish participated in their final A meet of the regular season! We had a wonderful meet against the Connecticut Belair Gators.  There was so much cheering, excitement, best times, and most importantly a lot of laughter! Jessica Hu and Malia Bush laughed as they egg-rolled into the pool for Back and Aidan Mishkin laughed himself out of the water as he finished his race with his goggles around his nose.  Sloane Case and Erin Demitz also laughed as they decorated themselves in Hawaiian leis, sunglasses, and party hats to cheer on their teammates.

Although the Gators ended up winning the meet, there were so many close, close races throughout the entire morning.  We also had two sweeps (placed 1-3) by the Regency Sailfish in the following events: 12 & Under Boys IM (Thomas Pelletier, Michael Kaiser, and Alexander Wen) and 11-12 Boys Breast (Stevie Linehan-Reckford, Alexander Wen, and Thomas Pelletier).  Congrats boys!

At half time we had a bittersweet moment of celebrating the graduating seniors and all of their accomplishments.  Congratulations to Taira Dolan, Nino Tranquill, and Zack Einhorn! We also want to congratulate the three swimmers that were able to return for one final year: Emily Thomas, Katie Wright, and Megan Roche.  You will be wholeheartedly missed, but you all will forever and always be RESC Sailfish!

The following swimmers received best times today: Sophie Neufeld (Free, Back, and Fly), Sloane Case (Back), Charlotte Roth (Breast and Fly), Erin Demitz (Breast), Caroline Kennedy (Breast), Gaby Kaiser (Free, Back, and Fly), Char Primich (Breast), Sara Farley (Breast), Korinne Austin (Fly), Angelica Hu (Free, Back, Fly, and IM), Candela Lespada (Free, Back), Dani Primerano (Free), Ruyi Cosgrove (Breast), Malia Bush (Free and Fly), Alison Kaiser (Free, Fly, ad IM), Angela Luo (Free), Megan Farley (Free and Breast), Hannah Bush (Free), Rebecca Hu (Free and Breast), Emily Thomas (Free and Breast), Caroline Wallerstedt (Breast), Edgar Solomon (Free, Breast, and Fly), Aidan Mishkin (Back and Fly), Kyle Wang (Free), Didi Chi (Breast), Aedan Billington (Breast), Ben Gruber (Fly), Stevie Linehan-Reckford (Free), Michael Kaiser (Back), Jack Linehan-Reckford (Back), Michael Kaiser (IM), Noah Rutberg (Free, Back, and IM), Matthew Pelletier (Breast, Fly, and IM), Valija Vlasov (Free, Back, Breast, and IM), Gaoxing Cosgrove (Free, Breast), Neema Moayed (Free), Sasha Vlasov (Fly and IM).

Thank you so much for all the parents that give up their Saturday mornings to help out at these meets and help our swimmers to have such a great time.  It would not be the same without our timers, clerk of course, concessions, automation, announcers, and cheerers.  Thank you for all you do!

COACHES’ MESSAGE

The Regency Sailfish/Ninjas fought their way through our 4th A Meet of the Season against Tilden Woods.  The Dolphins came out on top, but there were many events in which our swimmers were fighting and racing their opponents to get to the wall first!  There were also two events in which our swimmers swept the other team (placed 1-3) and these were: 8&Under Girls Back (Erin Demitz, Eleni Zoulis, and Sloane Case) and 11-12 Boys Back (Michael Kaiser, Patrick Zhang, and Alexander Wen).

We would like to give some special shout outs.  First to Matthew Kim and Matthew Chi who agreed to swim up in the 13-14 age group so that our team did not have even more empty lanes.  We are so thankful for their efforts in the meet!! Additionally, we would like to thank the many swimmers who swam more events than they were originally placed in due to unanticipated absences of their teammates.  This includes: Matthew ChouMegan Farley, Megan Roche, and Porter Austin.

On that note, before we get in to best times, I, Erin, cannot reiterate enough how important it is to let me know if a swimmer will be out of town BEFORE the lineup comes out on Thursday.  The first lineup sent out should be the FINAL lineup for the meet.  It is unfair for the swimmers that are not available to appear in the lineup, but it is also unfair for the swimmers that have to find out much later that they are actually going to be swimming in the meet due to unanticipated absences.  We only have one more A Meet and then Divisionals.  Even if you think that you/your swimmer will not make the A Meet or Divisionals, PLEASE let me know anyway.

Moving on, there were quite a few best times from yesterday at the meet against the dolphins: Eleni Zoulis (Free), Sophia Neufeld (Breast and Fly), Charlotte Roth (Breast), Gaby Kaiser (IM), Ruyi Cosgrove (Back and IM), Candela Lespada (Back), Alison Kaiser (Free, Fly, and IM), Angela Luo (Free, Fly, and IM), Megan Farley (Back), Malia Bush (Fly), Megan Roche (Back and IM), Aidan Mishkin(Free and Fly), Holden Austin (Free), Edgar Solomon (Back), Didi Chi (Free, Back, and Breast), Wyatt Roth (Free), Ben Gruber (Fly), Stevie Linehan-Reckford (Free), Matthew Chi (Free), Matthew Kim (Breast), Matthew Chou (Back), Steven Wang (Fly and IM), Wyatt Lindsey (Free, Back, and IM), Sean Farley (Free), Conner Ozatalar (Back, Fly, and IM), and Rocco Tranquill(Breast).

As always, we cannot thank the parents enough for all that they do to make sure we can have these meets.  Thank you so much for our timers, our automation, our ribbon labelers, our cheerers, our photographers, and our drivers!

Thanks,

Your Coaches

Wednesday Night B Meet – @ RESC.  This Wednesday July 12th, we are hosting Chevy Chase Rec.  Sign up HERE to choose your events.  You MUST log in using the same email that you used to register and save your entries.  You are signing up for WEEK 5B.  The deadline to sign up is MONDAY.  We are also offering a kickboard race for our younger swimmers and pre-teamers.  Please let you coach know if you want to enter your child in the kickboard event.

If you have any questions about what events your child can or should swim, please speak with or email Erin at emoc92@hotmail.com.

Lock-In – We had a record turnout last night for our annual lock-in.  We want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Michele Primich for organizing and running the event.  It was a lot of fun and created long-lasting memories for all!  It was especially exciting to watch our younger and older swimmers (and Coach Sloan) compete together in the raft races.

B Relay Carnival/Potomac Invitational Relay Carnival – Regency is excited to participate in the Potomac Invitational Relay Carnival (PIRC) on Sunday, July 16th.  Please remember that any swimmer who participated in two events (or more) at the A Relay Carnival IS NOT allowed to participant in PIRC.  Please see your coaches if you have questions.  You can sign up HERE.

Practice Schedule Change for Tuesday Only.  This Tuesday both regular team groups will practice from 4:30 to 5:30.  There will be no 5:30 practice for the regular team.  Pre-team practices will only be offered at 4:00.  There will be no 6:30 practice.

Mini Meet – Wednesday July 19th.  We will be participating in a year-end mini meet at Inverness Recreation Club (Deborah Drive – 1 mile away J).  This meet is for all swimmers not attending Divisionals. The idea is for this to be one last chance to achieve a personal best time, to try a new event or flip-turn (for those who will be 9 next summer).  As well as for all swimmers to swim one last meet.  It would be run like a B meet, so no points and no pressure. We will share signup instructions soon.

Divisionals  – The FINAL lineup for Divisionals (Saturday July 22nd) will be set after the A Meet on Saturday July 15th.  If you know your swimmer can’t attend Divisionals, PLEASE let Erin know IMMEDIATELY.

Winter Clubs – For some, swimming doesn’t stop when summer ends. There are year round clubs that offer instructional and competitive programs for you children (and you too!).  We’ve received a number of inquiries from families and figure that the best resource for information about each program would be other Regency families.  We’d like to put together a list of the local programs AND include the names of the families associated with each.  That way you could answer questions and be their direct source.  Please let us know you are interested in allowing us to include your name and contact info in a future email.

Towels for sale – We have a very limited quantity of 2017 Regency Towels available for sale @ $15 each.  Please let us know if you are interested in purchasing one.

**Coaches’ Messages**

Yesterday the Sailfish welcomed the Wildwood Manor Wombats to the pool for some nice competition! Their swimmers pushed our own swimmers to swim fast, creating a lot of personal best times to be had!  Before we get into the best times of the meet, there are a few individual swimmers that the coaches wanted to draw attention to.
First to Payam Moayed for being a very spirited part of the team last night.  Although he changed the traditional end of the cheer repetition, the swimmers went along with it and followed him through his own rendition of the cheer.  Payam was seen many times jumping along the pool cheering for his various teammates and that is really something we love to see.

Next, a special shout out to the Roth family swimmers.  Moments before Charlotte Roth was about to swim freestyle, her hair clip ripped a hole in her cap; yet she just remained calm and was planning on swimming with the hole in her cap anyway. (Thankfully she was able to get another before the race).  A few events later Wyatt Roth dove in for freestyle to find his goggles completely flooded.  However,Wyatt just quickly pulled the goggles off his head and swam the entire 50 with his eyes closed and goggles in hand (running into the lane rope a few times throughout the process).  We were really proud to see that these swimmers did not let their cap or their goggles stop them from swimming their races!

Finally, our last individual shout out goes to Jessica Hu and Angelica Hu for being the runners for the meet.  These two were constantly panning the deck, ready to pick up DQ slips or Timer slips as soon as they were available.  Their efforts tremendously helped the behind the scenes of the meet and helped it run smoothly.
As mentioned earlier, there were a lot of best times swum at this meet.  These best times include swims from:  Charlotte Roth (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Sophie Neufeld (Freestyle), Korinne Austin(Freestyle and Breaststroke), Althea Bush (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM),  Chloe Rutberg (Freestyle and Backstroke), Anna Gilbert (Freestyle and Backstroke), Sara Farley (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke), Kareena Rathnam (Backstroke), Charlize Primich (Backstroke, Breaststroke, and Butterfly), Sadie Herman (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Ashley Cortez (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke), Noa Assouline (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Ella O’Brien (Freestyle and Backstroke), Sabrina Chou (Freestyle), Miya Dolan (Freestyle, Backstroke, and IM), Aliyah Primich (Backstroke and Breaststroke), Dani Primerano (Breaststroke), Shelby Bush (Butterfly), Sara Manzano (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Ava Murphy (Backstroke and Breaststroke),  Megan Farley (Breaststroke), Alex Primich (Breaststroke and IM), Lydia Lee (Breaststroke), Julia Cortez(Breaststroke), Rebecca Hu (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and IM), Safiya Suliman (Freestyle), Hannah Bush (Backstroke), Edgar Solomon (Freestyle and Backstroke), Porter Austin (Backstroke), Holden Austin (Backstroke and Breaststroke), David Cortez (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Butterfly), Paul Anglade (Freestyle and Backstroke), Micah Bozof (Freestyle), Adam Assouline (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Ben Gruber (Backstroke), Wyatt Roth (Backstroke), Seth Michaels (Backstroke), Kyle Wang (Breaststroke and IM), Edward Chi (Breaststroke, Butterfly, and IM), Gage Orgel (Breaststroke), Beckett Desalvio (Breaststroke), Thomas Pelletier (Freestyle, Breaststroke, and Butterfly), Coby Malkus (Freestyle, Backstroke, and IM) Aaron Michaels (Freestyle), Jacob Gruber (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Joseph Bloomfield (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Benjamin Myers (Freestyle), Jack Linehan-Reckford (Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM), Aaron Michaels (Backstroke), Matthew Kim (Breaststroke), Alexander Wen (Butterfly), Stevie Linehan-Reckford (Butterfly and IM), Anson Strauch (Backstroke), Steven Wang (Breaststroke and Butterfly), Alan Misura (Breaststroke), Matthew Chou (Butterfly and IM), Nino Tranquill (Freestyle), Neema Moayed (Freestyle), Michael Stewart (Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke), Rocco Tranquill (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Benjamin Strauch (Freestyle and Butterfly), Payam Moayed (Freestyle), Chris Yang (Backstroke and IM), Valija Vlasov (Breaststroke, Butterfly, and IM), Parker Desalvio (Breaststroke), and Sasha Vlasov(Butterfly).
Thank you so much to all of our parent helpers who run the behind the scenes aspect of these meets that allow for all of these best times to occur.  We cannot do it without our timers, officials, automation, concession, cheerers, and photographers.  Thank you again for all that you do as parents of this wonderful team!

***COACHES’ MESSAGES**

Thankfully the rain held out this morning as the Regency Sailfish participated in their first A Meet of the season.  Even though the Quince Orchard Otters walked away with the W, the Sailfish had an incredible amount of best times and great finishes.  We want to start off by giving a special shout out to Miya Dolan, Chloe Rutberg, Alex Primich, Safiya Suliman, Alex Demitz, and Audrey Thomas for stepping up and finding out this morning that they would be swimming more events than they had planned due to unanticipated absences.  We are very thankful for these swimmers who prevented us from swimming with a multitude of empty lanes.  Additionally, there were a few events in which Regency swimmers swept (placed 1-3) the QO Otters including: 13-14 IM and 13-14 Butterfly (Malia Bush, Alison Kaiser, and Angela Luo) and 11-12 Butterfly (Michael Kaiser, Patrick Zhang, and Jack Linehan-Reckford).

There were a lot of best times swum in today’s meet including: Charlotte Roth (Freestyle), Sophia Neufeld (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke), Erin Demitz (Freestyle), Sarah Zhang (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Butterfly), Alex Demitz (Freestyle), Althea Bush (Freestyle), Chloe Rutberg (Freestyle), Char Primich (Breaststroke), Audrey Thomas (Breaststroke), Ruyi Cosgrove (Freestyle, Backstroke, Breaststroke, and IM), Candela Lespada (Freestyle and Backstroke), Angelica Hu (Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM), Miya Dolan (Breaststroke and Butterfly), Dani Primerano (Butterfly), Malia Bush (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM), Jessica Hu (Backstroke), Alison Kaiser (Breaststroke, Butterfly, and IM) Angela Luo (Butterfly and IM), Beth Wright(Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM), Katie Wright (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM), Megan Roche (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Emily Thomas (Freestyle), Hannah Bush (Backstroke and IM), Edgar Solomon (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke), Mikey Rathnam (Breaststroke), Kyle Wang (Freestyle), Nathaniel Strauch (Freestyle), Beckett Desalvio (Breaststroke), Alexander Wen (Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breaststroke), Stevie Linehan-Reckford (Freestyle and Breaststroke), Matthew Kim (Freestyle), Jack Linehan-Reckford (Breaststroke, Butterfly, and IM), Michael Kaiser(Butterfly), Patrick Zhang (Butterfly and IM), Noah Rutberg (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM), Aaron Yue (Backstroke), Matthew Pelletier(Butterfly), Steven Wang (IM), Zack Einhorn (Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and IM), Gaoxing Cosgrove (Freestyle, Breaststroke, Butterfly, and IM),Nino Tranquill (Breaststroke), Valija Vlasov (Breaststroke).

Finally, we could not watch all of these kiddos swim in the meet if it weren’t for the parents and their relentless effort to making everything run smoothly.  Thank you for our timers, our clerk of course, our officials, the cheerers, the photographers, and of course all of the parents who woke up earlier than they might be used to on a Saturday morning to get their superhero ready for his/her meet!

NEW-Wednesday Night B Meet – @ RESC.  This Wednesday June 21, we will be hosting Wildwood Manor for our second Wednesday night meet of the season. The link to register will be sent out shortly to the email address you used when you registered.  The deadline to sign up is MONDAY. After you sign up, please also visit the VOLUNTEER LINK HERE and select your job for the meet.

Please observe the following rules when entering your swimmers in this and other Wednesday night meets for the rest of the season:

1) No swimmer should enter more than three of the four individual strokes plus the individual medley.  The only exception to this is that a swimmer that has not swum any meets for RESC this season may, to establish times, swim in all four individual strokes plus the individual medley.

2) If your swimmer was the first or second RESC swimmer in an event at Quince Orchard today and has the first or second fastest time for RESC in that event this year, that swimmer should not enter that same event in this Wednesday’s meet.  If you have any questions please reach out to Erin (emoc92@hotmail.com)

3) A swimmer may enter less than the maximum number of events if he/she chooses.

Note that final word on all RESC meet entries is with the coaches.  The coaches may enter swimmers in additional events that they feel they are ready to swim (and then encourage them to go for it!), or take swimmers out of events that they feel they are not ready to swim.

If you have any questions, ask one of the coaches or send us an email.

NEW– Pep Rally on Friday at 6 pm.   There will be pizza and fun for all swimmers.  No RSVP necessary, just come!

On Saturday, July 8, we will have our “epic” lockin at the pool.  More details as we get closer.

National Anthem Performers.  A meet is so much better when a swimmer or group of swimmers starts it off with the National Anthem.  We still have slots available.  Let me know if you have someone interested in performing.

Swim Team Towels & Caps.  If you haven’t received your 2017 Swim Team Towel or have ordered, but not yet received a swim cap. Please email us so we can get it to you.  We have a limited quantity of both silicone and latex caps still available for sale, come see us if you’d like to purchase any.

Thanks,

Cedarbrook meet.   We had a great time with our friends at Cedarbrook last night. Thank you to all the volunteers who helped make the meet a success. Great job by the swimmers – there were many best times! Results are HERE.

Team Announcements:

Pep Rally/Team Night on Friday at 6 – Our first pep rally–all swimmers, pre-team and regular team are encouraged to attend–will be this Friday, June 17 at 6:00 pm on and around the blacktop – Pizza and drinks will be served. Swimmers should bring a RED or BLACK t-shirt to decorate.  The shirts will also be used during the team picture later in the season. No RSVP necessary, just come!

RESC heading to Quince Orchard for first Saturday meet. Our first Saturday meet of the season is at Quince Orchard. The theme for the meet is SUPERHEROES! Please come to the pool dressed in your favorite costumes and gear.

Everyone please check the meet entry list that was sent by email; we have a few absences.   If any swimmer who is on the list but is not going to be at the meet on Saturday, please let Coach Erin know immediately. We do not want missing swimmers to cause empty lanes, which causes RESC to lose points.  Every year in MCSL, several meets will be decided by a point or two-every point counts! Please do not assume that your child isn’t swimming because they haven’t before.

For those going to Quince Orchard, we will caravan from Regency at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday. If you are not going with the caravan, please plan to be at Quince Orchard by 8 a.m. so we can all enter the Quince Orchard pool together. (Quince Orchard – 16601 Roundabout Dr, Gaithersburg, MD  has no designated visitor parking. Typically parents drop swimmers in the parking lot by the entrance and park anywhere. There will be plenty of parking near the tennis courts which is accessible from Longdraft Road. Please observe parking restrictions when parking in surrounding streets.) Allow yourself 25 minutes to get there and park.

We will have our team lunch at Zoe’s Kitchen in Park Potomac immediately following the meet. Zoe’s Kitchen has agreed to give the team a portion of the proceeds spent that morning if you say REGENCY when you order and we encourage all team members, whether you make the trip out to Quince Orchard or not, to join us. The coaches will have all the ribbons earned to date available to pick up at the team lunch.

NEW MCSL UNIFORM RULE FOR A MEETS. No Suits or Caps bearing the name, insignia, or logo of any other team/pool can be worn, other than the MCSL Team (Regency) represented by the swimmer.

Summer Practice Schedule Starts On Monday.  With school letting out on Tomorrow, we will start our summer practice schedule on Monday.  The schedule is on the website.

On Saturday, July 8, we will have our “epic” lockin at the pool.  More details as we get closer.

Swim & Dive Banquet – This year’s banquet will be on Saturday, July 22nd in the late afternoon at St Andrew’s on Postoak.  If you are interested in helping with the planning, please email us.

6/10/17

Congratulations to our swimmers (and volunteers) for successfully completing Time Trials.

Results are attached and in each swimmer’s portal on the Active website.

Please read this and future team emails through.  Each will contain important information about upcoming events and deadlines.

NEW-Friday night team nights/pep rallies start this Friday.  ALL team and pre-team members should come to our Friday night soirees with the dive team.  There will be pizza and some activities and it is a great time for the swimmers to be at the pool with their friends.  We’ll send out more information later this week.

NEW-June 14 Wednesday Night Meet-Online Meet Entry is Open.  Online meet entry for our first Wednesday night meet  is open.  All swimmers who are swimming in the meet should sign up NOW.  The entry window closes on Monday at midnight, so do not delay!  Traditionally this meet starts at 5:30 pm due to school still being in session, and swimmers should plan to be at the pool around 4:40 pm for warmups.  If this changes, we will let everyone know.

As with Time Trials, to signup you access your “swim portal” through  THIS LINK.  We had fantastic success with online meet entry for Time Trials, but if you had technical problems last time, please try again.  Remember, you must use the same Active account that you used to register your swimmers.  All swimmers are eligible (but not required) to swim in all four strokes and IM at this meet.

How do you sign up online?  Once you are on the Active website and have signed in with the username and password you used to register your swimmer (important), click on the “view meets” tab on the upper left and you will see your eligible swimmer(s) and the Cedarbrook – “WEEK 1B 2017” meet.  Click the “+” next to each of your swimmers (important), click “attending” and then click the boxes next to the events that the swimmer is entering.  Click “save” and you are done for that swimmer.  Repeat for each swimmer.

If you do not sign up online, there will not be a lane for your swimmer (unless you have technical difficulties and tell us before entries close on Monday).  We are not doing deck entries for Wednesday night meets.  We will not have a signup sheet at the pool.  Please, please, please-last minute emails and entry requests really put a strain on our extremely hard-working automation volunteers!

NEW-Volunteers for Wednesday Night.  “If you have a swimmer, you are a volunteer.”  Pick your job and sign up HERE.   We need to fill the remaining jobs as quickly as possible.  It is very stressful to go to meets short on confirmed volunteers!

NEW-Saturday Meet Procedures.   The coaches will set the lineups for our first Saturday meet based mainly on the season through the Wednesday night meet.  The lineup will be emailed to the team Thursdays.

If your swimmer(s) cannot make it to a Saturday meet (June 17, June 24, July 1, July 8, July 15), we need to know to avoid entering swimmers in events and then losing points because of empty lanes.

You can also email any signouts to Head Coach Erin (emoc92@hotmail.com).  We will also post a sign-out sheet at the pool.  Make sure you note which of your swimmers is signing out!

NEW-.  Any towels & caps not picked up at Time Trials can be picked up at the pool on Wednesday or Friday.  Also, please shop at https://www.swimoutlet.com/regency for ALL of your swim gear needs.  By using this unique link you will be taken to a landing page with Regency emblazoned gear.  You can also find our team suits in the “subcategory” section.  Don’t stop here. You can shop the entire swimoutlet website for ANY of your swimming needs.  You don’t need to be on the swim team to buy swim gear. A portion of the proceeds are given to the Swim Team.

NEW-Call for National Anthem Performers.  If anyone is interested in performing the National Anthem at any of our home meets Wednesday night or Saturday, please let us know.

NEW-Caps and Magnets Available.  If anyone needs additional caps, we have some latex in stock and some silicone on order.  We also have a very small quantity of Regency Magnets for sale.

Thanks,

Mike Farley & Jordan Rutberg

REMINDER!  Time trials are on June 10; signups close TOMORROW – Thursday,  June 8!  We will have our all RESC Time Trials meet on the morning of this upcoming Saturday, June 10 (warmups at 8:30 am, first heat at 9 am).  The main purpose of Time Trials is to obtain times for each swimmer in each of the individual events (freestyle, breast stroke, backstroke, butterfly, and, for the nine and overs, individual medley) and to get our swimmers back in the pool for some competitive swimming..

All regular team swimmers (not pre-teamers) are strongly encouraged to participate in Time Trials if they can.  Swimmers who are not able to participate in Time Trials can establish times at the first B Meet, which is on Wednesday, June 14 at Regency, or at later meets,  (Please note that participation in our first Saturday meet will be largely if not entirely based on times achieved through the Cedarbrook meet.)

Swimmer signups for Time Trials will be online.  Click THIS LINK, login if needed, click “view meets” and sign your swimmer(s) up for all events in which your swimmer has a basically legal stroke (including IM for the 9&overs).  Do not forget to push “save” once you’ve selected the events.

YOU MUST SIGN IN USING THE ACTIVE ACCOUNT YOU USED TO SIGN YOUR SWIMMER(S) UP!  If you have any technical issues, let me know.  (You may also get a signup email from Active.  The link there should take you to the same place.  There is no need to sign up twice.)

Volunteers for time trials.  If you have a swimmer on Saturday and have not signed up for something, please do so HERE.  We need more timers and help at the shaded and fun table, among other things.  Please do not wait until you come Saturday – we need your commitment now to ensure the meet runs smoothly and to reduce stress on the organizers.  Remember, because this is an RESC-only event, we basically need double the usual slate of volunteers to make this work.

Towels.  If you haven’t received your team towels or pre-ordered swim caps, please come and see us at Time Trials.  We also have a limited number of extra caps for sale. Latex is $7 and Silicone is $15, while supplies last.

Regency Estates Dive Team.  If you are looking for fun way to spend your Sunday afternoon, consider cheering on Regency Dive this weekend.  The 2017 Rookie Dive Meet is this Sunday at Manor Woods Swim Club at 1:00PM. Regency Estates has 5 rookie divers this year. They could use as much support as possible to cheer them on Sunday! Let’s show them how much team spirit Regency has! Let’s help make this a great start to their dive career!

Thanks
