RESC Dive Team
In 2010 the Sailfish Dive Team will compete in Division III of the Montgomery County Diving League (MCDL) with Ashton, Rock Creek, Mohican, North Chevy Chase and Potomac Woods. All RESC members who are 18 or under on June 1, 2010, are eligible for the team, which will be coached once again this year by Alexandra and Jackie Stanton. Divers of all skill levels are encouraged to join the fun!

Sailfish head to Divisionals!
Win a win over Ashton, the Sailfish finished the regular season an undefeated 5-0!!!! The kids did great and there was really great improvement in their diving.
Some notes on the Divisional Championship meet on Sunday, July 25. It is at Rock Creek and it starts around 8 a.m. Only the top two point scorers in each age group represent RESC. Here is our final list:
**8 & Under Girls: Nicole Goldsmith and Katya Jamison
**8 & Under Boys: Oliver Adkins and Alex Jamison
**9-10 Girls: Izzy Rayner and Caroline Wallerstedt
**9-10 Boys: Sam Kressman and Max Jamison
**11-12 Girls: Megan Roche and Cece Wallerstedt
**11-12 Boys: Ben Kressman and Jonathan Greenberg
**13-14 Girls: Nikki Roche and Nicole Marders
**13-14 Boy: Andrew Marders
**15-18 Girls: Sami Cola and Erin O’Connor
**15-18 Boys: Adam Watkins and Jacob Rayner
If anyone on the Divisionals roster CANNOT make it to the meet, please let me know ASAP! The remaining practices are only for kids diving in Divisionals, and we will still have two practices per day. NOTE: The Thursday and Friday practices are from 5-6 p.m. to make time for the Swim & Dive Team’s Pasta and Pep Rally Thursday night and a Coaches Dinner on Friday night.
RESC must provide WORKERS for the meet. Each Boy/Girl slot is different (you can do the table for 9-10 boys and NOT 9-10 girl, or just do both. For judges it gets more difficult (you cannot judge or referee your own child). Our slots to fill are:
8 and under: 1 judge and 1 tableworker
9-10: 1 Ref (Paul) and 1 tableworker
11-12: 1 judge and 1 tableworker
13-14: 1 Referee (Paul, for boys only); 1 judge and 1 tableworker
15-18: I judge and 1 announcer
Please e-mail me your preference, I will assemble a list and confirm with you.
Also, don’t forget to sign up for the Swim & Dive Team’s Banquet next Sunday, July 25. EVERYONE should attend, get their team trophies, paper plate awards, and have a feast of catered California Tortilla with their teammates.
You parents are the greatest, you should be proud of your kids.
