Welcome to RESC!
Regency Estates Swim Club is where our community comes together in the summer! Located at 11511 Gainsborough Road, the Club is in the heart of the Beverly Farms Elementary School district. We have one of the finest (and newest!) community pools in Montgomery County, complete with a “beach” entry, lap lanes, a separate toddler pool, and one of the only high dives in the area. Our facility also includes a snack bar, shaded playground, basketball court, and more. The Club fields competitive swim and dive teams, and has a full calendar of social events for you and your family to enjoy. Some memberships are available – please click on Join Us for more information.
THURSDAY NIGHT DINNERS @ THE POOL. Back by popular demand, we’ve lined up the county’s hottest food trucks to stop by and serve you dinner on Thursday evenings this summer.
Mark your calendar for these dinners at the pool:
June 23 – Soul Baby Café
June 30 – Linda’s Luncheonette
MASTERS SWIMMING – Our world-famous Masters Swimming Program begins this Tuesday, June 21 Swim team head coach Erin O’Connor will be leading our RESC master swimmers, age 18 and up, in swim practices sessions that focus on building fitness and strength. This is a fun, social way to improve your swimming and skills and overall fitness and strength. The program is not competitive and does not require mastery of all four swim strokes. Advance registration is required – the registration form is attached to weekly blast and available in the office.
WANTED: PRE-TEAMERS. Our pre-team provides a fun introduction into competitive swimming. Any RESC swimmer (generally 8 and under) who are comfortable in the water, but is not yet ready for regular team, is eligible. Once school lets out, we will have late afternoon practices on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday through mid-July. (The full practice schedule is available here. Come to whatever days suit your schedule.)
We will also have a mini-meet in July where all pre-teamers are encouraged to participate (yes, we have kickboard races). All pre-teamers are also encouraged to come to our pizza pep rallies/team nights on Fridays and to attend the team banquet at season’s end, where everyone receives an award. All this for $128 for the entire season! Registration is done through this link. For more information, contact Steve Kaiser or Natalie Billington.
NEW MEMBERS. Our members are still bringing in new members! The referral bonus of 10% off your dues for each new member you bring into the pool is still in effect and will be applied to your dues next year. Please refer all prospective members to firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure you mention that you are referring this person or have the potential new member mention your name as a referral to get credit. New members will receive $50 off of their first year dues. They also can take advantage of new options for obtaining a membership bond: we now offer a 4 year payment plan of $250/year, the option of paying the full amount, and the option of purchasing a bond from a retired member. RESC needs your help to bring in new members – be the pool’s ambassadors and let everyone know that RESC is the best place to be this summer!
POOL PARTY! Hold your next party at RESC! As a member, you may reserve the blacktop area, including exclusive use of the grills and the picnic area, as well as general use of the pool for you and your guests. The charge is $50 for 2 hours of reserved blacktop, plus guest fees for up to 30 people. Larger groups can be accommodated, but additional fees may apply for additional staff coverage. To reserve your party time, please contact Dede Rutberg at email@example.com
ENTERING THE POOL — We have an ID-check system to help ensure that only members and their guests gain access to the pool. Every member of each RESC family is issued a bar-coded membership card that will fit on a key chain, and we take your photo so we can match it with your card’s code in our database. Every member entering the pool must show the desk attendant their membership card. The front desk attendant will scan the card to verify that the person presenting the card is an RESC member. We no longer will allow people to enter the pool without having their card scanned. If you forget your card, you will need to present a photo ID so we can verify you as a member. We have imposed these changes for entrance into the pool for the protection of our members, and to ensure that non-members are not using the pool without authorization.
Children 10 years old and under must be accompanied by a supervising adult (16 & over) at all times.
GUEST PASSES — Every guest entering the pool must have a guest pass. All guests must sign in with a member, and the member must remain at the pool with her/his guest(s). EACH GUEST IS LIMITED TO FIVE (5) VISITS PER SEASON. You can buy guest passes for $5 each or a discount guest-pass book of 10 passes for $40. Guest passes are single-use and do not expire. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to buy guest-pass books.
By pool policy, a member bringing in 10 or more guests at any one time constitutes a party, and must be pre-booked with the Club. This is essential to ensure proper staffing and resource allocation. When you book your “party,” you will be reserving the blacktop area, including exclusive use of the grills and the picnic area, as well as general use of the pool for you and your guests. The charge is $50 for 2 hours of reserved blacktop, plus guest fees for up to 30 people. Larger groups can be accommodated, but additional fees may apply for additional staff coverage. To reserve your party time, please contact Dede Rutberg at email@example.com.
HELP US KEEP YOUR POOL GROUNDS CLEAN — We appreciate your help in keeping our pool grounds beautiful. Please be sure to discard your litter, and keep RESC beautiful by picking up little you come across. Trash cans and recycling bins are located throughout the property.
SWIM AND DIVE LESSONS — Individual swimming and diving lessons are available from many of our certified coaching and lifeguard staff. Please inquire at the office or with swim coaches if you are interested in private lessons. Only RESC staff may give private lessons.
POOL RULES — The complete set of pool rules can be found here.
